The programme in the Netherlands is for high-school students aged 15 to 18. Placements are made anywhere in the country.

The Netherlands is a small country with one of the highest population densities in the world, known above all for its flat landscape of canals, tulip fields, windmills and cycle paths. In Amsterdam you'll find the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the house where Anne Frank wrote her diary.
The official language is Dutch; although everyone speaks excellent English, lessons at school are in Dutch. The Dutch are very open, tolerant people who will make you feel at home straight away.
The school system
Upper-secondary school is attended from ages 12 to 17, with four tracks (Culture & Society, Economy & Society, Nature & Health, Nature & Technique). All share Dutch, English, PE, social sciences and art.
Lessons run Monday to Friday, roughly 8:30 to 16:00, with three breaks, one of them for lunch. International students follow the subjects for their reference school year.
